I'm Yulanda!

I wasn't born in the South but I got here as fast as I could. I was born and raised in Stoughton, Massachusetts. Now living in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina.

My love for photography started way back. I can remember during the holidays chasing my cousins around with my camera to capture every moment. In high school, it was all about the year book, and in college took my first photography class, learned film, developing in the dark room and studied fine arts with a concentration in graphic design.

I am an artist. I have been all my life. The medium has changed over the years, and when I became a mom I was compelled to capture every moment. I wanted to remember each stage in a way that accurately represented that moment in time. I could not put down my camera and found myself obsessed with photography again. I had the itch to capture special moments for others. So, I started {Y} Design & Photography.

This girl behind the lens lives for coffee, chocolate and music! When I'm not behind my camera or desk designing, you will find me with my other loves; my supportive husband, our fast growing girl and our dog Hazel. We love the simple things in life, being on the lake, exploring the outdoors, road trips and a good competitive game night with friends.
